Seven Day Challenge To A Glowing Skin

When a woman becomes a mother, all her love and time is showered upon the little angel. In all the hustle and bustle, self-love takes a back seat and this shows prominently on the face. The same story was with me. I was not able to take out time for myself, remained tired and exhausted most of the times as feeding the baby and changing diapers sucked out a lot of energy out of me. My face always looked dull, lost all the charm and glow. Because of which I remained irritated too. It was high time that I needed to push myself a little bit more so that I could not only look good but feel good too. So, I decided not to ignore my skin any further and took up a challenge to apply different homemade face packs for seven different days of a week. I wanted to keep it simple and found almost all the ingredients in my kitchen only. With each passing day my skin looked more clean and clear and by the end of the seventh day I could see and feel a noticeable difference in the texture of my skin. There was a healthy glow on my face, which made me a happy soul.

Tomato – Tomato is an excellent astringent. It helps in fighting acne to a great extent. Its regular usage reduces the secretion of facial oil. It also aids in removing suntan.

Potato – Potato lightens the scars on the face and improves complexion.

Rice Flour – Rice Flour is the finest scrub I have used till date. It is very effective in removing dead skin cells and gives super smooth skin.

Aloe Vera – Everyone of us is aware of the numerous benefits of using aloe vera. It treats acne, fights aging and is a great moisturizer.

Egg White – Egg White removes facial hair. It is a perfect remedy for large open pores as it shrinks and tightens them. It also removes excess facial oil.

Lemon – Lemon clears and brightens skin. It is yet another wonderful agent to reduces excess oil.

Honey – Honey slows down the aging process and treats and prevents acne. It improves complexion.

Gram Flour (Besan) – Gram Flour is quite popular among Indians as an agent to remove skin tan. It also helps in reducing excess oil and removes facial hair with regular use.

Wheat Flour – Wheat Flour enhances the complexion. It also works as the softest possible scrub which removes dead skin cells without harming the skin. It is especially suitable for over-sensitive skin.

Rose Water – Rose Water tones the skin and also refreshes it. It aids in calming down the inflammation caused due to sunburn.

Milk Cream (Malai) – Milk Cream removes dark spots and makes the skin super soft.

Plain Oats/ Oatmeal – Plain Oats/ Oatmeal is a natural skin cleanser. It removes blackheads and works as a perfect exfoliator for super-sensitive skin.
